The Swan (or Extreme Makeover)

it’s difficult to believe that we’ve only had Penny for 5 months. when we picked her up at Second Chance Ranch, she was emaciated, riddled with problems (ear infections, mites, mange from lack of nourishment) and not to mention stiiiiiinky! she weighed just over 40lbs. and now look at our girl? at last weighing she was at 50lbs (i suspect she’s a couple pounds over that now) and is a happy, happy dog. she has such a friendly little personality that it’s hard not to love her. note her tail in the first picture, it was bitten up, missing fur and totally skinny. the second pic doesn’t begin to do justice to how poofy it is now. one swipe of that tail could take you out!

She’s a very handsome girl! (After I finished admiring her I noticed that we have that same tile in our house…yours is in much better shape.)

you know, i WISH it were tile, but it’s only vinyl stuff and the teeny pic makes it look muuuuch better than it is

she does look wonderful! you’ve done such a great job making her happy and healthy again.
