The Magic Of Blogs

while perusing a list of updated blogs, it occurred to me yet another reason i enjoy reading blogs. it provides another (often personal) point of view of people around the world. often times it’s difficult to escape the spoon fed images spun through the mass media of what it’s really like to live in other countries. i have not yet been fortunate to travel further than Canada (believe me, i’m working on that) but i try to find sources of information outside my own consumer driven world.

i like that blogs can provide insight in to the day-to-day of someone far away, yet on such an intimate scale. for example, i stumbled upon this blog and then afterward found myself here. before long i was visiting a blog about an American living in Seoul, Korea (where i was born. word.) and despite the yellow tinge of the pictures, it still made me hungry! lastly, i visited a page from a person named Sun who lives in South Korea. if you know of any enjoyable blogs outside the US, please let me know!
