which of the following topics will personally affect you negatively on a daily basis?
1. The sagging economy and unemployment rates
2. Lack of quality healthcare
3. Same sex marriages
now think about your answer when you vote in November. even if you oppose gay marriage, think about these topics selfishly for a moment. is that really what is going to impact your life? me, personally, i am all for same sex marriage and am opposed to the consitutional amendment. i had thought that an amendment to the constitution should always be one of inclusion … to include everyone in the rights it promises. i had never thought that it was intended to take them away. but, i guess that’s just what i thought.

Ya know…I have been thinking about all the political turmoil being thrown in our face lately, and it is driving me bonkers. I really feel like life is one big conflict all the time. I think it may be forcing me out of my self-imposed blog break. I need to climb back on the horse, and what better way than by writing about my constant distaste for our current president?
As far as gay marriage goes, if anyone opposed to it can give one good reason why it should affect me negatively on a daily basis that ISN’T religious then they might have my attention. Otherwise, bring on the vows, baby!

see though, even the religious reason doesn’t affect you negatively on a daily basis. that wouldn’t really bother you until you die and burn in hell, that apparently it really puts a crease in your shorts.

but even though the religious reason would (arguably) result in damnation, those against gay marriage would (ostensibly) not be affected by that either - they’d be sitting pretty in heaven with all of the other heterosexuals…

yo, you totally make sense. the religious thing is a completely different subject, and rightly so. your point that the constitution should give rights, not take them away is a good one. the president and the people who support him are taking crazy pills.
