Post-y

i’m feeling very post-y. i’m taking my first break from working today. my eyeballs just thanked me for an extra squirt of eye drops.

do you have a Powerbook? have you noticed that when you plug the AC adaptor in to the wall it sparks? (yes, it’s a grounded plug) then, join the ranks of many, many others who have experienced the exact same thing. it freaks me out. i’m constantly worried about my poor PB going up in flames. i’m calling Apple today about it to see if they will replace the adaptor. it’s ridiculous. and what’s even more ridiculous is the dog decided to chew on the little hook that the cord wraps around (no, this has nothing to do with the spark. the chewing happened quickly and just on the little plastic piece that sticks out).

i’m trying to get the PB ready for a couple trips. a backup battery is in order (dang, they are expensive!) for DVD watching. i picked up a Podium Coolpad this weekend and i have to say, it does exactly what it says it does. although, i’m thinking of getting the more compact traveller size for the trip. i also picked up a headphone splitter for aforementioned DVD watching. thank goodness for Monster Cable. otherwise i might be stuck with some wimpy splitter that looked as if it could short out before it was even out of the package.
