You know how there are certain songs or bands that just shouldn’t be covered? Or books that should just not be made into movies? That’s the way I feel about On The Road.

While it’s definitely not my favorite Kerouac book (not even second or third), it’s nevertheless one that I feel a bit queasy at the idea of cinematic interpretation. According to the Independent Online, casting and pre-production are due to begin early next year. Yeesh. Of course, I would have said the same thing about the Lord Of The Rings trilogy before that began, so I guess we’ll see.
