It’s The Small Stuff That Matters
i believe that title. inspired by the lovely receptionista and Sublime Stitching, i have been trying my hand at embroidery. if i had a fancy camera (or one that i knew how to use) i would post the pictures of my first projects. alas, i don’t so you’ll have to old school it and use your imagination. the first project was three onesies for a friend’s baby. the first one has a pink line drawn bunny, the second was done from a vintage kitty pattern (that turned out quite well) and the last is a picture of Selma of the book of same name by Jutta Bauer. the material was not optimal for stitching, but it was fun nonetheless.
this weekend my friend Celeste and I will be heading to the Rebar for our first attending of the Seattle chapter of the Church Of Craft. typically, i have a natural aversion to the word church, but this one might work. sunday’s are the monthly “Stitch and Bitch” where hipsters come to hang out and do crafty things. the name alone made me want to go. hopefully, Amanda will be joining us for a lovely evening!
p.s. have i mentioned how much i love SnapNDrag from Yellow Mug Software? it’s basically a screenshot app but it’s so simple and quick that i use it constantly. for windows i use Snag It, but it’s definitely not as happy to use.

i saw your work tonight, and it was so lovely! you did better at the onesies you made than i ever did on my first projects.
it’s so nice to meet fellow bloggers in the real world and find out that they really are cool! really, very cool and very fun, and i hope to see you and celeste again.
