In Sickness and In Health

this seemed like a small clause in the wedding vows, but i had no idea how soon it would be invoked! everyone i have talked to lately is sick with a “flu” type virus that is wreaking havoc on their bellies. it is a bit frightening considering all the articles i have read on viruses and bacteria becoming immune to antibiotics and all of the ‘anti-bacteria’ soap, detergent, etc. constantly being used. it doesn’t help that the new 28 Days Later DVD contains a documentary about it, painting a very grim picture of the future. yes, i know this is just a movie, but it is something to think about nonetheless. in the past month i have been to the emergency room once, the vet once and the doctor more times than i care to admit. everyone needs to be taken care of (and one of my greatest faults/virtues is a personal responsibility to making people around me happy). even my dog approached me, sticking is ear out to say “me next”. thankfully, everyone is well again and adjusting to the time/weather changes.
