Domain Woes

Posted on Friday, August 6, 2004 in visual delights

starbodyorangei’ve wanted to register the starbody.com domain name for quite a while now. however a Korean company owns it (although it hasn’t been used in several years) and will only sell it for $1500.00. not likely. so i’ve decided it’s time to get over it and select a new domain name. this is where you come in. i need some help in selecting a name. those high on the list right now are:

  1. sonicstarbody: an obvious choice since alot of what i write about happens to be music-centric
  2. girlstarbody: an obvious choice since, well, i am a girl
  3. starbodyproductions: a little dramatic don’t you think? since well, i’m not actually producing anything except my soon to be web design and writing
  4. iamstarbody: an obvious choice since i AM! actually, we are all starbodies, but that’s besides the point
  5. help!

    1. how about starbodygirl or star_body or starrbody? I kind of like starbodyproductions actually. There is also starbodycreations…

    2. .net?
      .org?

    3. .name?

    4. i should have qualified the original message with the fact that the .net is also taken. i don’t want to go with another extension (.org, .info, etc.) because i don’t think it’s really fitting. thanks for all of the help! i’ll definitely let you know what i decide!

    5. i like either sonicstarbody or girlstarbody…

    6. sonicstarbody!

      that’s you.

    7. sonicstarbody me thinks

    8. iamstarbody kindof reminds me of that book from when we were young…i am the cheese…i never read it…but…sonicstarbody sounds pretty cool to me.

    9. What is a starbody?

    10. Well, Apple, as far as I can tell it is either an Italian gym or some dude who works for Illinois Power.

Seriously…Frank Starbody! What a name! Perhaps we should start a cult where we all take Starbody for our surnames. I’ll bring the Kool-Aid!

    11. LOL! since i’ve received several inquiries as to what the name means, i am going to post the quote later today.
