Design Minded
I’m a self professed modern design junkie and while our budget doesn’t allow us to splurge on a house full of modern, a girl can dream. Modern design lovers know that Design Public is a fabulous spot online to drool over a Blu Dot Modular Deskette and even pick up a Flensted mobile for the nursery. For those lucky folks in the bay area, you can purchase store returns and samples at a discounted price online and then pick them up at their warehouse. How luck are you?

There’s been many times when I was surfing the Design Public site and cursing the fact that I don’t live in the Bay area. We have a Design Within Reach close by but even their “sales” are quite pathetic. We got a Nelson Bubble lamp for our dining room early in the year which I was super pleased about. I guess I’ll just have to be content with getting good design one item at a time. (Have you ever checked out EQ3? We got our bedroom set from them and I’m v. happy with it.)

I have not, I need to check that out. Because what I need is to find more ways to spend money while I’m not working
We have a DWR as well. There is Kasala and they have a great outlet, but it can be pretty spotty. Sigh. Modern design, why are you so expensive and attractive?
