Breaktime

we’re taking a break from packing today to be able to attend to the other tasks that must be taken care of, which is nice. i just bought two new books today (thank you job-related educational subsidy) and that always improves my day. one of them is specifically on Photoshop CS and the other is on Apache, PHP and MySQL. i have had a continued interest in open source software, especially after toiling in a so-called “MS shop”. and so i thought i would try to get a better handle on it to experiment on my own. i also just put together a small website for a friend of mine and it made it glaringly obvious how badly my skills needed to be improved. there are so many things i want to learn, it hardly seems as if there is time for it all.

so instead of thinking about that. i’ll make myself a cup of tea and settle in for a bit with my new book.
