Random End Of The Day Crumbs

dwdhow funny is this? Political Friendster is a site that allows “a visualization of the connections between the players in the political game”.

magneticiconsi like to download things. especially free things that are not music (seriously). but do i need all of these things? maybe not. but i ask you, how am i to turn down desktop icons inspired by Magnetic Fields songs?

and lastly, my friend DWD won’t fly. i can understand the fear of flying, but at the same time it’s necessary if you want to see the world. and believe me, i want to see as much of this world as i can. it’s made me a different (and better i think) person to have experienced different places. i have tried to guilt him in to it and offered drugs that will make him forget who he is (who cares about where he is). i’ve even tried tough love. he’s missing out. he thinks he can drive anywhere. well, let me tell you mister, you can’t drive to Hawaii, Europe, Africa, Australia, Asia, Russia, New Zealand and many more places. you can however, drive to Seattle. and let’s just eliminate the whole ‘i’ll take the train and get a sleeper car’ because it’s about $1000! so if you have any ‘i hate flying but, i did it’ stories, please feel free to comment! (please keep any ‘i hate flying and freaked out on the plane’ stories to yourself).

The Cure

Posted on Monday, May 3, 2004 in sonica

the always reliable Chain Of Flowers contains video and audio of The Cure’s appearance on The Tonight Show here here. i managed to stay up through Leno’s crappy banter and then fall asleep right as he said “we’ll be right back for The Cure”. thankfully my friend Ikke also taped it for us to watch. i’m not sure whether i liked the single. it’s a bit poppy, but that just may mean it’s the Love Song of the album. either way, i’m looking forward to its release in June and hoping that Curefest comes near enough for us to drive to it!
